Takeo Murata is a blacksmith from Shikoku, near Kochi, he is famous for his blades, low cost, but very high quality, he usually uses Aogami blue paper steel #1 hardened between 61 and 63 hrc as the cutting edge.

Handcrafted knife in Aogami blue paper steel #1, hand forged. San mai blade with clad soft iron, oval magnolia wood handle with plastic collar. Kuruochi blade finish.

As with any carbon steel kitchen knife, clean and dry it immediately after use to avoid oxidation. A slight grey or blue patina is considered normal.
