Casstrom Firesteel Blank

Army size firestriker blank (7.6 long x 0.95cm in diameter), a ferrocerium based fire starter steel. The Army model is the largest and has a 'lifetime' of around 12,000 strikes. It creates a shower of sparks at temperatures of around 3,000 degrees Celsius that can be used to ignite a campfire with the correct materials and experience. It can also operate in damp conditions.
