The Borka 90 fills a unique niche as a bushcraft folding knife. Following the Brisa style of knives, the details of the construction and design aren’t as apparent as many other. The heavy backlock mechanism, durable stainless frame and large grip provide strength and safety for tasks most folding knives would succumb under. The micarta scales cover the frame completely, adding more comfort and grip for heavy use. Even with gloved hands, the ergonomics insure a good hold. A hefty finger guard accents and reinforces the heavy-use aspect of this knife.

Suiting a bushcraft folding knife, the Borka is sharing materials with the Trapper hunting knife. The american made green micarta proves to be very grippy even in wet conditions, so we utilize the same material on the Borka knife. Also the popular Böhler N690co stainless steel is borrowed from the Trapper series. The addition of Cobalt adds strength and toughness to an already well balanced steel. Finished off to a Scandi Zero grind, the knife as a whole is designed to withstand almost the same abuse as expected from a fixed blade knife.

Rugged as it is, quality of life details are also featured on the Borka. Rounded and chamfered scales provide good access to the dual sided thumbstud, and also the locking lever is easily at hand with generously milled slot. Having a heavy mechanism, we also added a nail nick for opening. The Borka also features an ambidextrous deep carry clip.

The Borka definitely stands out on its own. Whether used alone, or as a secondary hunting knife, you will be able to perform tasks that few other folding knives can manage.
